*Fluffy-a pet belonging to Hagrid. Fluffy is a humongous dog with three ferocious heads. He was used to guard the Philosopher's Stone, and his greatest achievement was taking rather a large chunk out of Snape's leg! The only way to get past Fluffy is to play music, which sends him to sleep.

*Norbert-is a Norwegian Ridgeback dragon that Hagrid tried to keep in his cabin. He was given to him by a stranger (who turned out to be You-Know-Who!) in exchange for information on how to get past Fluffy.
Aragog

*Aragog-was Hagrid's pets. Aragog is a gigantic spider who Hagrid used to keep in a cupboard as a pet when he was a student at Hogwarts. Aragog is the reason that Hagrid was expelled in his 3rd year at Hogwarts when a boy called Tom Riddle framed him as the heir of Slytherin who had opened the Chamber of Secrets. It was not until Harry Potter came to Hogwarts 50 years later that Hagrid's name was finally cleared. Aragog is lives in the Forbiddien Forest with his wife and children.

*Basilisk-is a giant snake who's stare can kill instantly. The only way to survive the stare is to view it indirectly, for example through a mirror, water or a camera lens. The Basilisk, like any snake, can be controled by a wizard with the gift of Parseltongue. A Basilisk was put in the Chamber of Secrets by Salazar Slytherin so that his heir would be able to finish his work and rid Hogwarts of mudbloods. It was killed by Harry.

*Buckbeak-is a hippogriff, which has the head and front legs of an eagle, and the back of a horse. Buckbeak is currently on the run with Sirius Black after escaping death by beheading after attacking Draco Malfoy. Harry and Hermione managed to save him by going back in time and resucing him from outside Hadgrid's cabin.

*Dementors-are foul, evil creatures with no eyes, only a mouth, which they use to suck out human souls. They are currently the guards of Azkaban. Dementors suck the happiness out of people and leave you with only your worst memories. This is the reason that all the prisoners of Azkaban loose thier minds.

*Nagini-a giant snake kept as a pet by You-Know-Who. It can be controlled by You-Know-Who as he is Parseltongue. Nagini can also communicate with his master. It's milk has magical powers as it was used to feed You-Know-Who whilst he was weak.

*Unicorns-a number live in the Forbidden Forest. Unicorns are extremely magical and thier blood can give the power of life. However anyone who slays a unicorn for it's blood is condemmed to live a half llife, scrounging and unable to gather any real strength. The horns and tail hairs of unicorns are also used in many potions and in the making of wands. (Ron's wand is made with unicorn hair.)


*Centaurs-are half man, half horse and a number of them live in the Forbidden Forest. Harry met three of them while in the Forbidden Forest during his first year at Hogwarts, Bane, Ronan and Firenze. They are star-gazing fortune tellers and many do not really understand them.
